City to Celebrate Halloween, Tuesday, Oct. 31
At the September Board meeting, the Puxico Board of Aldermen decided to use Veteran’s Park and EL Hawk Street from Phillips Service Station to the Post Office for trunk-or-treating. This section of EL Hawk Street will be closed to traffic from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, for the safety of all the trick-or-treaters.
The City is allowing any local business, church, or organization to set up either on that block of EL Hawk Street or in Veteran’s Park for trick-or-treating. Peoples Community Bank and First Midwest Bank along with others will be there to hand out goodies.
If your group is interested in joining the others for trunk-or-treat and handing out goodies, please contact City Hall at 573-222-3162 to insure we have plenty of space to accommodate everyone. All spaces will be first come first serve. There are no fees to set up or participate, but you must supply your own candy/giveaways.
Those participating should arrive before 5 p.m. since the street will be blocked off ater that.
