E-Waste Recycling – Saturday, Oct. 7

Do you have a computer, a DVR or a copier you want to get rid of? the Bootheel Solid Waste Management District is sponsoring a recycling day on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. where people can discard unwanted electronic equipment. The main drop off will be on the Puxico City Hall parking lot. There will be a trailer marked to be used for e-waste materials. Bootheel Regional Planning has stated that it will take anything that is electric — has a cord or a battery. Please see the list at the bottom of this article for what can be dropped off.

The City will be taking anything placed on the trailer to Bootheel Regional Planning at Dexter to be recycled.

People may drop off any unwanted equipment at Puxico City Hall the evening of Friday, October 6, and the Saturday, October 7. If you have any questions concerning this, please contact City Hall, 573-222-3162.

The following is a list of items that can be dropped off for recycling: Computer monitors, servers, desktop PC’s, laptops, notebooks, Macs, tablets, keyboards, mice, speakers, modems, routers, cables, software, all components and accessories, printers, copiers, scanners, faxes, ink/toner cartridges, Blu-ray, HD DVD, DVD, laserdisc, VHS, Betamax, DVR’s, cable and satellite receivers, digital and film cameras, audio receivers, amplifiers, speakers, MP3 players, CD players, cassette decks, turntables, 8-track, boomboxes, microphones, mixers, rack equipment, DAW and TV’s (all sizes and shapes).
