Tax Rate Hearing, 5:45 p.m., Aug. 17

A hearing will be held at 5:45 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Puxico City Hall at which citizens may be heard on the property tax rates proposed to be set by the City of Puxico. The tax rates are set to produce the revenues which the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, shows to be required from the property tax. Each tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of gross revenue needed by the current assessed valuation. If approved at the Board of Aldermen August 17, 2023, monthly meeting, the tax rates will remain the same as last year.
