For-Profit City Vendor License Required
Any for-profit vendor who plans on setting up during the VFW Homecoming must do so on private property (including sidewalks) with the property owner’s permission. The VFW does not allow for-profits to set up on the streets that are a part of the Homecoming midway. A vendor is anyone who is selling anything either from a truck, a booth, a table, etc.
Any for-profit vendor must have a City vendor license. These licenses may be purchased at the beginning of the year (January) and are good throughout the year. These licenses are $100 for the year and are not pro-rated if purchased later in the year. If vendor is using a truck, he must show proof of liability insurance at the time the license application is submitted. The vendor will also need to have a note from the property owner on whose property he plans to set up on that gives him permission to set up the property. Applications may be obtained at City Hall and returned to City Hall with license fee.
