Puxico Receives CDBG Street Grant

The City of Puxico received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $616,790.00 from the Missouri Department of Economic Development. These funds will be used to repave streets that were not repaved with a previous Rural Development grant that the City received in 2021. The CDBG grant will also be used to do some ditch repair work to help alleviate drainage problems that occur when the City receives a heavy rain.

The City will be spending $20,000 in matching funds with this grant and the City maintenance workers will be performing $20,000 in inkind labor for the project. The work involved with this grant will be done in the spring and summer of 2026. Before the project can begin, the City is required to put out bid notices for the work to be done.
