Spring Cemetery Cleanup

The City of Puxico maintenance department is beginning its spring cleanup of the Puxico Cemetery in preparation for the mowing season. According to the rules posted at the cemetery, flowers must be removed from the graves by March 15 unless the owner wants the City’s maintenance crew to throw them away. Since this notice is being placed late, the crew will not be taking up flowers until March 23.

the only flowers that the crew will put in the trash are those that are faded, ragged, or in disrepair. Flowers that are in good shape will be left on the graves. Those people who have flowers on their loved ones’ graves need to go by and check on the flowers before March 23. If anyone has a question concerning his/her flowers, he/she can call City Hall, 573-222-3162, or come by and talk with the city clerk.
