Fall City-Wide Bulk Trash Pickup, October 3

The City of Puxico Board of Aldermen set Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. as a time for the Fall City-Wide Bulk Trash Cleanup.

As was done this past May, a dumpster will be set up on the City Hall’s parking lot on Saturday morning, October 3. The dumpster will be there only the one day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents of Puxico may discard bulk trash (no household trash) in the dumpster. Bulk trash includes anything out of the house that is in disrepair, such as couches, chairs, dressers, commodes, and small appliances. There is be an e-waste day scheduled later in the fall to recycle computers, televisions, and any other electrical equipment.

In order to dump the bulk trash in the dumpster, a person must show proof of residency in the City, such as a driver’s license or a utility bill with name and address. A City employee will be present with list of City residents who pay trash bills.

Items that cannot be put in the dumpster include yard waste, such as straw, grass, dirt, leaves and railroad ties; construction materials, and hazardous or infectious materials, such as tires, batteries, motor oil, radiator fluid, medical waste, and paint.
