Spring City-Wide Bulk Trash Pickup, May 4

The City of Puxico Board of Aldermen set Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. as a time for the Fall City-Wide Bulk Trash Cleanup.

As was done this past October, a dumpster will be set up on the City Hall’s parking lot on Saturday morning, May 4. The dumpster will be there only the one day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents of Puxico may discard bulk trash (no household trash) in the dumpster. Bulk trash includes anything out of the house that is in disrepair, such as couches, computers, chairs, televisions, dressers, commodes, and small appliances.

In order to dump the bulk trash in the dumpster, a person must show proof of residency in the City, such as a driver’s license or a utility bill with name and address, to a representative from the trash company who will be on site and will be able to help with the dumping of larger items.

Items that cannot be put in the dumpster include yard waste, such as straw, grass, dirt, leaves and railroad ties; construction materials, and hazardous or infectious materials, such as tires, batteries, motor oil, radiator fluid, medical waste, and paint.

Puxico residents may call City Hall, 222-3162, for additional information concerning this bulk trash service.
